Hatha Yoga 101 with Zsuzsa Kovacs, RYT 
Ongoing Tuesdays, 7-8:15pm

Designed for new students, this gentle class will introduce the basics of yoga practice including: 

  • Easy to learn sequences & positions

  • Breathing practices.

  • Restorative yoga poses

  • Relaxation and meditation

Using an introspective approach, this class will help you to cultivate self-acceptance both “in and off the yoga mat”. In class, new yoga postures will be taught along with safe practices and proper body alignment This class is taught using the Iyengar and Kripalu traditions (which you will also learn about over the session). 

This is a relaxing and empowering practice that will serve as a solid foundation, that new yoga practitioners will be able to build on for years to come.  You'll also develop improved strength and balance, not to mention getting a good night’s sleep after class.

Meditation 101 with Deb LeClair Psy.D

Ongoing Mondays, 6-7 pm

Regular meditation can be an integral part to cultivating:

  • Relaxation
  • Creativity
  • Concentration and enhanced performance
  • Improved mental and physical health

Many people recognize the benefits but struggle to find a way to move into a meditative state. Each session is designed to be stress relieving and at the same time empowering. In addition to basic instruction and the experience of a guided meditation, classes will cover topics such as:

  • Finding comfortable positions
  • Quieting the highly active mind
  • Creating time and space for regular meditation practice

Please wear comfortable clothing.

"Attending meditation classes at Full Spectrum Wellness has made a difference in my life. I feel more relaxed at work, and more easily deal with stress of every day living. However, I admit, at first I was not sure about trying another meditation class. I had tried and left other meditation groups in the past because I found myself feeling like I was “doing it wrong”, or I was “way behind” in experience, or the pace of the course was too fast. Thankfully, that was not the case at Full Spectrum Wellness. From the very first day Deb LeClair had me feeling completely comfortable with where I was in my learning and meditation practice. Deb walked us through every step, explaining the what and the why of mindfulness so that we were not just jumping in without understanding what it is to meditate. Also, one of the first lessons Deb reviewed was “compassion” – compassion in the sense that there is no “doing it wrong”, and she explained that it’s okay if you have thoughts running around your head. That lesson of compassion is one that Deb repeatedly refers to and the authenticity with which she expresses such compassion with me and the other students has been a key to my continued interest in her class.

Perhaps one of the most enjoyable aspects of attending the class at Full Spectrum Wellness is the sense of community and care that the instructors (Deb and Heidi) have created. When I go in the morning, and I see familiar faces (those in the class and Deb and Heidi), it feels good. It makes me smile to be with a group of people that I can share my experiences with.

Introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Debra LeClair Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist and Certified Life Coach

4 Weeks, January 23rd - February 13th 2012

If you want to learn how to take better care of yourself and discover a deeper sense of ease and peace of mind -- and if you are willing to actively engage in your own health and well-being, we welcome your participation in either our four-week or eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course.

For over 30 years more than 18,000 people have completed the mindfulness-based stress reduction program originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn out of the Center for Mindfulness at UMASS Medical School. We now bring this program to Full Spectrum Wellness here in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The MBSR program complements both traditional medical and psychological treatments while it also helps in prevention. MBSR has benefited people reporting a variety of conditions and concerns including: 

  • Stress about work, school, family, finances, aging, grief, uncertainty about the future
  • Feeling “out of balance”
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Chronic illness or pain
  • High blood pressure
  • Fibromyalgia

  • GI issues (ex. IBS)

Reiki Healing Evenings - A  Balancing of Mind, Body and Soul

January 27th, 2012,  6:45 - 8:45pm

Reiki IIJoin Michele Lowry, Reiki Master/Teacher, for this experience. Each month we will offer the opportunity to enter the world of energy healing through Reiki. Its time to honor yourself and your needs. Each group healing consists of at least two Reiki Practitioners/Masters offering a joint session to you. Reiki can help ease stress and anxiety, release aches and pains and even help to bring clarity to resolve home or business issues. Maybe you would like to find out more about this incredible healing energy that is becoming more popular each and every day as a gentle approach to all-around healing? Let your curiosity guide you.

What Can You Expect

The evening is 2 hours to allow people time to be still, quiet and relax. The Reiki sessions are 20 minutes or so depending upon how many people show. We begin with a meditation and then people come for their session. There are a minimum of 2 tables and 4 practitioners at this event. We have books and cards for people to use for reflection and guidance. People are invited to stay as long as they would like and are asked to stay a little while after their reiki session to allow them to be grounded before driving. People have shown up and left within the 2 hours so it is designed to allow for the best experience for each person attending.

All Reiki practitioners are Level II or higher.

 Registration required.

 All  ages are welcome.
