Gentle Yoga for Arthritis with
Zsuzsa Belhazy-Kovacs, RYT and Feldenkrais
Practitioner-In-Training
Introductory Class Tuesday, Sept 28th,
12-1:15 pm
6 weeks, Tuesdays, Oct 5-Nov 9th,
12-1:15 pm
This is a specialized and
therapeutic yoga class where you will learn simple,
gentle movements that gradually build strength, balance, and
range of motion – the very elements that can truly benefit
people dealing with arthritis. We will also practice various
breathing and relaxation techniques to reduce stress that will
also lessen the physical and emotional impact of arthritis.
Over 75 studies published in major medical journals have
indicated that yoga holds both physical and psychological
benefits for those who practice on a regular basis.
For people with arthritis specifically, the American
College of Rheumatology states that yoga is a safe way to
exercise that can help decrease pain and stiffness.
It is also beneficial for both rheumatoid arthritis and
osteoporosis.
The physical class draws on the principles laid down by the work
of BKS Iyengar, Moshe Feldenkrais and the teachings of Viniyoga
(T.K.V. Desikachar) along with various other modalities.
Each of the movements taught will be modified as needed for each
individual in the class. The philosophy is to start where you
are, do what you are able, respect your body, keep practicing
and you will see improvement over time.
Welcome to a path of healing and renewal!
Introductory Class/Drop-In Rate - $20
6 Week Series - $90 Healthy Living Series: Detox Yoga with
Zsuzsa Kovacs RYT Friday Oct 8th, 6-8pm Through
vigorous, flowing sequences (known as Vinyasa) we’ll increase blood
circulation and muscle work.
This will help the lymphatic system to function better so the
body can more easily release toxins, increase immunity and return to
optimal balance. The
detox process works by first bringing heat to the body through a
dynamic (Vinyasa flow) sequence that focuses on core work.
Then we literally wring toxins out of the body through
twists. Lastly,
the body is further rejuvenated through inversions and restorative
yoga poses. For this class,
it is useful to have knowledge of basic yoga poses and terms.
Although the pace is vigorous, any individual will be able to
bring the practice to their own pace with
individualized guidance and corresponding modifications from
Zsuzsa.
Fee: $ 20—single $ 35 for two Restorative Yoga For Beginners with Bethany Earls, CYT Friday Oct 15th, 7-8pm Many of us struggle with being able to really relax. Pet Loss and Understanding Their Unique Gifts with Michele Lowry,
Reiki Master Saturday, Sept 25th, 10am-12:30pm
Meditation, poetry, sharing experiences, and connecting to your pet
through writing; this powerful and insightful workshop facilitates
closure and offers an opportunity to focus on the wonderful
memories, teachings and gifts given to us by our beloved four-legged
companion. "Alex's sudden death left everyone in my family very heavy hearted, especially my dog Oliver, who had previously had Reiki sessions with Michele. We explored different ways to console Oliver as well as ourselves, and it was suggested we have a "closure" to this. Because of my experience with Michele I knew I needed her help. We had an ‘Honoring Your Pet’ ceremony at our home, so our other dogs could share the experience. I also had a picture of Alex and his ashes there too." "It was the best decision I made to handle this situation. We all felt better afterwards, including Oli who got a lot off his chest! The mood was lighter and our hearts weren't as heavy, not to say we don't still love and miss Alex. I would HIGHLY recommend the experience. If you love your dogs as much as I do, don't miss out!"
- Kim,
Please wear comfortable, loose clothing. Ashes and
photos also welcome. All materials will be provided.

Mindful Eating With Debra
LeClair Psy.D, Life Coach
Thursday
Sept 30th, 7-8:30
Being able to slow down and listen to the body can be a foreign
concept for most of us.
High pressure, overly busy schedules and constant distractions get
in the way of being able
to truly taste what we put into our mouths and enjoy giving our
bodies nourishment and nurturance through food.
Trying out ways to bring mindful eating into your regular routine
can be the missing piece to

Single class rate is $8 or blocks of 4 can be purchased for $25. $8 Single Class rate $25 block of 4 classes Please wear comfortable clothing. Click for more information on meditation at Full Spectrum Wellness."Attending meditation
classes at Full Spectrum Wellness has made a difference in my life. I
feel more relaxed at work, and more easily deal with stress of every day
living. However, I admit, at first I was not sure about trying another
meditation class. I had tried and left other meditation groups in the
past because I found myself feeling like I was “doing it wrong”, or I
was “way behind” in experience, or the pace of the course was too fast.
Thankfully, that was not the case at Full Spectrum Wellness. From the
very first day Deb LeClair had me feeling completely comfortable with
where I was in my learning and meditation practice. Deb walked us
through every step, explaining the what and the why of mindfulness so
that we were not just jumping in without understanding what it is to
meditate. Also, one of the first lessons Deb reviewed was “compassion” –
compassion in the sense that there is no “doing it wrong”, and she
explained that it’s okay if you have thoughts running around your head.
That lesson of compassion is one that Deb repeatedly refers to and the
authenticity with which she expresses such compassion with me and the
other students has been a key to my continued interest in her class. - Beth Jowdy, Assistant Professor, Southern NH University To see the meditation class in action, click here to see the WMUR special report on Reducing StressTo read our article on stress and meditation in New Hampshire Business Review click here.

Serenity Sunday—A Mini Retreat With Debra LeClair
Psy.D, Life Coach
Sunday, November 14th, 9-11:30 am
Taking a personal time out is one of the best ways to “re-juice the
batteries” and reconnect to spirit.
Over the course of the morning, we’ll engage in both guided
and silent meditation mixed in with quiet contemplation and
journaling. The intention of the retreat is to help you tap into
your own inner peace and guiding wisdom. In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in an clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness.
-Mahatma Gandhi
Recommended for those with some prior experience with meditation.
Fee: $ 40, Save $5 if you are enrolled in any of our ongoing
